Valley Country
Club, RI
Valley
Country Club is an 18-hole championship,
private, golf course, in Warwick, RI. It
is one of Rhode Island’s oldest courses
that have a history linked to the great ‘Golden
Age of Golf Architecture’ and the
early issues of Golf Illustrated.
The Club is a regular venue for the Rhode
Island State Amateur Golf Tournament, which
required Scott-Taylor give much consideration
to championship golf design.
So
successful was the project that the Rhode Island
Golf Association requested, and was awarded, the
New England Amateur Championship which was held at the
Club in July of 2005.
